Oversize Item ships at 70lb rate. Non-Handed and Field-Sizeable Two Anodized Finishes This CRL Automatic Security Astragal is a simple, yet effective weatherstrip for paired doors. It quickly and quietly moves out of the way when the door is opened. The header-mounted cam guides the astragal strip back into its overlapping position automatically when either door is closed without requiring a coordinator. When closed, the Astragal forms an effective weatherseal that is wind, dust, and insect resistant. It also provides door security and does not show from exterior. No cutting or other modifications need to be made to the doors prior to installation. It's reversible, and can be used on any new or existing pair of out swinging doors. Automatic security astragal for outswing pairs of wood and metal doors. Discourages manipulation of panic-type hardware. Astragal is held flush against other door by 1/2" thick cam (cam and mounting screws included). Anodized aluminum with vinyl seal and stainless steel operating spring. Either door may be active without requiring a coordinator. Parts can be trimmed 12" maximum from each end. Should be mounted prior to attaching panic hardware to eliminate the problem of interference. Must be installed on the inside of a pair of outswing doors. Installation: Trim to length require. Position on doors at meeting stiles and install screws in center of slots. After adjusting for optimum seal, tighten screws.
